Check Your Insurance Benefits
Understanding Insurance:
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network: Choosing a therapist contracted with your insurance plan (in-network) results in lower out-of-pocket costs, as they have agreed to a set rate with the insurer. Using an out-of-network provider generally means paying full price and submitting a superbill to your insurance for partial reimbursement. I am in-network with Premera and out-of-network with other insurances.
Copays & Coinsurance: Depending on your plan, you will likely pay a fixed fee (copay) per session, or a percentage of the therapist's rate (coinsurance).
Deductibles: If your plan has a high deductible, you must pay the full cost of therapy out-of-pocket until that annual threshold is met, after which your insurance kicks in
What is Mentaya?
Mentaya is a company separate from my own and I do not benefit from you as a client using their service. Their goal is to help out-of-network therapist build sustainable practices by helping clients navigate insurance benefits, automate claims, and maximize reimbursements (getting a percentage back of what you paid) for therapy. It is completely optional.
